Smart Energy Lab is responsible for the implementation of the technological challenges of V2X stations for both charging systems and batteries, where it will be evaluated the capability of interacting with O-V2X-MP as well as the development of degradation models for V2X services, respectively. Smart Energy Lab leads the activities of collecting attitudinal, behavioral, qualitative, quantitative, and context of use data about Electric Vehicles (EVs). This data will aid in devising strategies to guide the design of solutions and business models that improve EV driving and V2X experience in the connected vehicle environment.

Smart Energy LAB participates as a third party of EDP Labelec and is a main contributor for the definition of the Portuguese Local Energy Community pilot. Smart Storage Open Platform

PORTUGAL 2020 PROJECT

Smart Energy LAB participates as project leader. The purpose of SSOP project is to build a battery controller, agnostic to manufacturers, allowing a broad and competitive sourcing, to accelerate the adoption of storage technology for different uses cases in the B2C and B2B segments. Ubiquitous Charging

PRR PROJECT: Be.Neutral Consortium

Be.Neutral consortium, led by NOS, aims to create the first Carbon Neutral region in Europe with mobility products and services produced in Portugal. The consortium is composed by 43 partners, focusing on 3 types of products: devices, connectivity and platforms, with partners working on the development of electric passenger vehicles and electric buses, their chargers, and also on electric bicycles.

Smart Energy LAB assumes a key role on the product development process, pre-market user acceptance tests and industrialization of a new charger for electric vehicles that will be designed not only to be cost efficient, but also to optimize the installation and maintenance processes while providing a seamless user experience. House Eletrification and User Adoption Accelerator

PRR PROJECT: Illiance Consortium

Illiance consortium, led by Bosch, includes more than 30 different activities, aiming together a carbon neutral footprint for buildings. Health, comfort, and sustainability are 3 core pillars setting the basis for the innovative technologies being developed and the adopted approach. 5 work packages and 30 partners embody the consortium.

Smart Energy LAB leads the way in two different activities. House Electrification aims to design and build a scalable business solution that ensures bottled gas replacement for electrical solutions overcoming current major blockers in Portugal and other relevant geographies. User Adoption Accelerator aims to measure and validate the products designed inside the consortium ecosystem, ensuring proper customer acceptance according to their expectations and needs. Aliança para a Transição Energética consortium has the goal to develop a structural ecosystem that promotes a profound transformation in the profile of the energy sector. It includes more than 90 parteners to develop 45 new products and services.
